Bio of Malana Ashlie: About the time of my 50th birthday, the stage of life that indigenous people would make their passage into Elder, my path as a Naturopath and Holistic Healer was leading me into a study of Metaphysics. What had begun as the pursuit of knowledge in the field of subtle energy had opened the door to exploring the mysteries of the Universe.

No longer was I content to simply follow “the rules.” I wanted to know the TRUTH beneath the tenet… and whether the rule was a distortion of the TRUTH. My studies led me to sit at the feet of teachers of sacred Native American traditions, Hawaiian Kupuna, and Mayan Elders.

With each new discovery, my days took on greater meaning; light was shed in the darkest recesses of my mind. Through the practice of shamanic wisdom, ancient principles, and other studies I became an adept of universal principles and  I learned to make dreams a reality.

In keeping with the traditions I was being taught, I committed myself to a Vision-Quest which gave me insight to the direction that Spirit was guiding me, and a new name: Malana. It is a Hawaiian word which means “buoyant, holds the light, has the ability to lift people as thru prayer.”

My Vision-Quest also directed me to honor and respect the wisdom each Elder would share with me and not to imitate their practices; to hold these truths and Spirit would communicate through them. This guidance, along with my intellectual studies, is the information I offer in consultations, workshops and the books I write.

I believe that the TRUTH is like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle with pieces scattered to the four corners of the globe. My passion is to find all the pieces that I can before I take my final breath.

If you are walking the spirit pathway and want to share space and time with other seekers, I encourage you to visit our schedule of workshops and retreats or pick up one of my books… consider joining me.
