Linda Thieman is a freelance writer, having published in magazines for children, such as Cobblestone: The History Magazine for Young People and Young Entrepreneur.  She has also published numerous articles on business start ups, and she writes and edits in the field of alternative health. 

Linda is also a former English language teacher who has created a set of reading skills worksheets and classroom materials that teachers and homeschoolers can download from the Katie & Kimble Blog free of charge. The materials correspond to the first two books in the Katie & Kimble: A Ghost Story series and are guided by the national standards set for third grade reading skills. Linda lives in Sioux City, Iowa.

Synopsis: Katie Russell is soon to be nine years old. She is moving into an old house out in the country with her family her mom, her dad, her little brother, Toby, and her big Old English sheepdog, Twinkle. But Katie doesn t know that Kimble lives there, too. And Kimble is the ghost of a ten-year-old girl!

Who keeps leaving Katie presents? It's a mystery, but Katie thinks she knows who it is. Katie is a smart girl and she has her own opinions. And she comes to believe that a ghost wants to be her friend!

And she s right! When Katie meets Kimble, Katie s whole world changes because Kimble needs Katie s help. Katie has a kind heart and she wants to help Kimble, but she gets into a lot of trouble along the way!

This book is funny and exciting and surprising, with a lot of action and adventures.
